Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

It’s Spring, and the birds are out.  Not the nice-y nice singy ones either.  The birds of the air are shouting: “murder, KILL, KILL, KILL!”  This is North MInneapolis, and I am contesting that there is a great Spiritual War going on around us and we need more fire power.

The reason for this post is to ask for help.  We need your intercession.

Since the weather has turned nice, there has been an outbreak of violence in our neighborhood.  We know it’s N. Mpls, and we know this happens every year; but we want it to change.  We want to content for the Holy Spirit to be released over our neighborhood.

2 Cor 10:4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

Prayer changes the atmosphere.

Last night at our youth Bible study, there was an outbreak of dissension and violence among the kids.  Unfortunately, some of the kids had to be sent home.  Afterward, as we’re praying over the night; there is increased shouting out our front door.  Outside about 20-25 adults and teens are fighting in the street, stopping traffic.  I watch a grown mother swing and a teenage boy.  I watch another teenage boy swing with a crutch at the boys head.  911 is busy with other situations.

Later, one of our Bible study kids returned in a frenzy saying she was threatened to be shot.  I go with her to search for some of the other kids and I see more teens leaving their house with a baseball bat.  Eventually all the kids we were looking for returned to our house and stayed late until all the craziness died down and they could be picked up.

If this was an isolated incident, that would be one thing.  It’s not.  Every day throughout our streets there are stupid and foolish acts of violence that try to overshadow all the good that is here.  People do not know what they are doing.  The good people are overshadowed by the foolish.

I’m convinced these people don’t know what they are doing.  They are puppets to their master, Satan.  They are stumbling around in darkness.  We are asking you to stand with us and content that this neighborhood would see a great Light: Jesus Christ.  We want this stronghold of violence to be broken in this neighborhood.  The Power of a Risen Jesus Christ is our only solution.  We enact that Power through Prayer and Intercession.

We are contending for revival here.  We know it is impossible, but with God All Things are Possible.

Will you pray with us?
