Every year my family and some friends gather on Valentines Day to share the Love of Jesus with our community. It’s a pretty simple outreach: we have roses, candy, and love letters from Jesus. We pray. We go out and meet people throughout the neighborhood and ask “did you get your Valentines yet?”
No one really refuses a Valentine, especially when it’s from a cute kid. It gives us a chance to simply love our neighbor. It also fills us with Joy and Peace as we feel a bit of God’s love for each person we talk to.
Each time we reach out, we are the ones who are blessed. It’s true, the more you give the more you receive. Jesus put it this way:
Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
God is wanting to speak to your neighbors. This is great joy and peace to be shared in partnering with Him to display His love to the people around you. Be encouraged! God is alive and at work, and we pray that we will have eyes to see and ears to hear what He is doing and saying;)
